
Andrew B. Goff, Ph.D.
Dr. Andrew Goff obtained a B.A. degree with special honors in psychology from George Washington University. He then attended Hofstra University where he earned M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in clinical and school psychology. He completed internships in clinical and school psychology and also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in health and community psychology.
Before relocating to Greensboro in 2004, Dr. Goff and his wife lived in Georgia where he worked in a private practice setting with children, adolescents, and families for seventeen years.
Dr. Goff specializes in individual and family therapy for anxiety, depression, and behavior problems. He has advanced training in cognitive- behavior therapy, acknowledged as an especially effective approach for treating depression as well as anxiety disorders such as separation anxiety, school avoidance, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Dr. Goff has consulted extensively to community agencies, schools, and courts.
Dr. Goff is active in professional associations. He has long served on the Continuing Education Committee of the North Carolina Psychological Association and as the secretary/treasurer of the Guilford County Psychological Association.
